About OEA:  The Office of Economic Adjustment was established in 1961 within the Department of Defense (DoD) to work with communities adversely affected by defense program changes. OEA provides hands-on technical assistance and funds economic adjustment planning activities. Over the past three decades OEA has helped nearly 400 U.S. communities develop economic strategies to adjust to defense industry cutbacks, base closures, force structure realignments, and incompatibilities between military operations and local development.

About eGrants:  The eGrants system has been designed to enable applicants to prepare and submit requests for Federal grant assistance to OEA on-line. It will allow a Grantee to perform necessary post-approval activities, including submission of payment requests, reports and deliverables, and closeout documentation. All applicants must electronically submit grant applications and any follow-up documentation using eGrants.
