Interactive Map and Data Viewer HelpDefault Map and Data ViewThe interactive maps and data tables show you where OEA is assisting communities by allowing you to quickly and easily look up information about a particular installation (military base) or community. The default view contains a map of the United States on the right, a series of drop down menus used to filter the map, and a list of BRAC military installations. Data and Map ViewYou can view specific installation information by clicking on the installation name from the data list or by clicking on a location on the map. Click on Details on the location popup from the map to view detailed information of a selected installation. Map NavigationYou can navigate the installation map by clicking, holding, and dragging the mouse cursor. The symbols on the map represent military installations from different services. Click on any of the symbols on the map to zoom into the base location and see the contact information for that installation. Double-clicking on any part of the map will zoom in on the space. The map can be viewed in Map, Satellite, Hybrid (a combination of map and satellite), or Terrain formats. Reset Map ButtonAt any time, you can revert the map view back to the default view by clicking on the Reset Map button. FilteringThe installations list can be narrowed down quickly and easily through a variety of criteria such as name, state, and service or a combination of them. By NameIf you know the name of a specific military installation for which you are searching, you can type the base into the blank text field. As you type the name of the installation, the data list will narrow down to matched results. By StateSelecting a state in the All States menu allows you to filter the data by a specific state. For example, selecting Wisconsin will show only installations from the state of Wisconsin in the data list. By ServiceSelecting a service in the All Services menu allows users to filter the data by a specific military service. For example, selecting Army will show only installations from the Army in the data list. Combination FilteringSelecting more than one criteria (name, state, or service) allows you to narrow down the data list by all selected criteria. For example, if you are looking for all the Navy installations OEA has assisted in California, select Navy from the All Services menu and then select California from the All States menu. The data list will now show all Navy installations in California. Resetting the FiltersTo start over with the filtering, click Reset Filter. This will reset each filter to its default state, and the data list will show all installations. Detailed Info ViewThe detailed information of each installation is available in this view. You can see specific installation information by clicking on the installation name from the data list.
