Interactive Map and Data Viewer Help

Default Map and Data View

The interactive maps and data tables show you where OEA is assisting communities by allowing you to quickly and easily look up information about a particular installation (military base) or community. The default view contains a map of the United States on the right, a series of drop down menus used to filter the map, and a list of BRAC military installations. Filtering

The installations list can be narrowed down quickly and easily through a variety of criteria such as name, state, and service or a combination of them.

By Name

If you know the name of a specific military installation for which you are searching, you can type the base into the blank text field. As you type the name of the installation, the data list will narrow down to matched results. The word Kan typed into the text field

By State

Selecting a state in the All States menu allows you to filter the data by a specific state. For example, selecting Wisconsin will show only installations from the state of Wisconsin in the data list.

Combination Filtering

Selecting more than one criteria (name, state, or service) allows you to narrow down the data list by all selected criteria. For example, if you are looking for all the Navy installations OEA has assisted in California, select Navy from the All Services menu and then select California from the All States menu. The data list will now show all Navy installations in California.
