OEA Transportation Infrastructure Grants Approved - Sep 17, 2012

On September 14, 2012, the Department of Defense (DoD) awarded the latest two transportation grants from the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA), including a $25 million grant to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) to improve access to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, and a $7.3 million grant to the Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration (SHA) for the Maryland Route 187/West Cedar Lane/Oakmont Avenue intersection project for improved access to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda.

Public Schools on Military Installations Program

On January 7, 2014, the Department of Defense announced the latest school construction grants from the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) of $16,250,000 to Albuquerque Public Schools, Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the new Wherry Elementary School on Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico; and $16,096,000 to Geary County Unified School District 475, Junction City, Kansas, for the Fort Riley Elementary School at Fort Riley, Kansas.
