This decision will affect up to 40,000 uniformed service members, nearly 17,000 Army civilian employees, their families, and the states and communities that support them. If an Army installation is selected for force realignment or reduction, impacted areas may qualify for assistance from OEA. $300M Federal Funding Opportunity Transportation Infrastructure for Medical Facilities

Federal Funding Opportunity Notice Federal Register – July 21, 2011

Section 8110 of Public Law 112-10, the Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011, provided OEA $300 million "for transportation infrastructure improvements associated with medical facilities related to recommendations of the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission."
