The Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) is closed until further notice due to the lapse in Federal appropriations. As a result, OEA is prohibited by law, from responding to any matter and regret any inconvenience this may cause. OEA Grantees are authorized to continue grant activities in accordance with Grant Awards funded with OEA program of assistance, during the shutdown.

Community Profile: Naval Station Ingleside Electromagnetic Reduction Facility, Texas

Naval Station Ingleside (NSI) was selected for closure under the 2005 round of BRAC. In response to the BRAC actions
regarding NSI and the Electromagnetic Reduction (EMR) Facility, the community formed the multi-jurisdictional
Ingleside LRA to plan for the reuse of NSI and the EMR Facility and to undertake a regional economic diversification
strategy in order to help mitigate military and civilian jobs losses in the region, which are estimated at 6,605. The
Ingleside LRA consists of eight members, two each from San Patricio County and Nueces County, two from the City of
Corpus Christi, and two from the City of Ingleside.
