California’s Central Union School District initiates plans to modernize and expand Admiral Akers Elementary School on Naval Air Station Lemoore to provide 46,482-square-foot of permanent facilities to better serve the education needs of 775 students.
The Central Union School District project is being designed to address capacity and condition concerns to correct serious facilities deficiencies as annotated in the Deputy Secretary of Defense memorandum approved July 19, 2011. The modernized elementary school will consist of a nearly 46,482-square-foot facility to support 775 students, most of whom are military-connected children.
